The course description for Bandera is below.
"No whiners, wimps, or wusses. A trail of rugged and brutal beauty where everything cuts, stings or bites."
With that warning, why would anyone want to do 62 miles on this terrain? The badass buckle of course. Team Ninja had 3 hardy souls ready to subject themselves to this. Wid had attempted the 100K here before, but did not make the cut-offs. This would be Fiona and Faith's first attempt at the 100K distance. The already difficult race was raised another level with brutally cold temperatures starting in the 20s and dropping well below that at night.
Not as many pictures as I would have liked due to frozen fingers.
Successful races don't always happen without help. Besides, it's more fun when you bring your friends to play on the trails with you.
It's always a pleasure to see so many friendly faces at races.
1 month later, we finally found time to celebrate at Cane Rosso. We'll be back here a few more times in 2017. Stay tuned.
